Welcome to daddhism

Readers of The Thrifty Dad, you’ve likely noticed by now that the site has a slightly different appearance. (Not to mention the different URL, logo, name, format, and everything else.)

The Thrifty Dad was around for roughly three years. During that time, I wrote about thrifty living, parenting, side hustling, and a few products. I also accepted some guest posts here and there, too. Ultimately, the site wasn’t heading in the direction I wanted, nor was I really happy with the overall package. I was trying to singlehandedly create a content-based site, write in a few niche spaces, and parent at the same time. It… did not go well.

So, something had to change. After some thought, a few drinks, and a little more thought, Daddhism was born. “What’s Daddhism?” you might ask. Well, for starters, it’s a lot like the Thrifty Dad. It’s a relaxed, fun, inclusive place for discussions around parenting, work life, parenting humor, and everything in between. It’s also a publication, unlike the Thrifty Dad.

For now, I’ll be publishing a lot of the content on Daddhism. But, you’ll notice there’s an article submission page. This is because I WANT people to chime in. Do you have a story to tell, advice to share, laughs to create? Share it! I want it all. Well, most of it.

If you were a Thrify Dad fan, don’t worry—financial tips and thrifty living advice will both be covered still!

I could ramble on and on for hours. But instead, I’ll spare you the details and let you go explore the site. Or check on your child. Definitely that one.

When you’re ready, send an article pitch over. We’d love to have you!
